Trafford Centre for Independent Living aims to provide information, advocacy and brokerage to people with impairments across Trafford.
We are a disabled people’s user-led organisation, set up using the expertise of disabled people to provide tailored support to people with impairments to live full, enjoyable and independent lives.
This means enabling people to take responsibility for their own daily lives and decisions, and giving them the skills and confidence to play an active role in the care and the financial support that they receive.
To date, we have over 500 members, an expanding online presence via social networking and a growing stature in Trafford due to our consistently excellent work with disabled people, parents, carers and partner organisations and we deliver a number of contracts in the locality.
Our work is supported by a team of volunteers who help us with everything from reception work to information gathering. We couldn't be the exciting, growing organisation that we are without their support. If you'd like to join our team, email hello@traffordcil.co.uk
We believe that information, co-production and advocacy are at the heart of independent living, and our aim is to become a community hub for disabled people locally, offering services, support, groups and classes.
